<image:title>Blog - Not your grandma’s rotary phone: How industry change impacts customers - I consider the four areas shown (at minimum) to be fundamental to any double dip change: Program Management, Technical Management, Customer Management, and Ongoing Care and Management. Though each are equally important, Customer Management is your money step. Jill, isn’t the money step when you reach the point of making or saving money? It is, but just like cloud and streaming terms have been mangled, I’m going to mangle money step to mean the point at which your customers accept, trust, and understand change. If you don’t think that’s making or saving you money, you’re mistaken.</image:title>
<image:caption>The Trojan Horse is a term I use when rolling out change nobody wants. If you’re leading an organization and you need to replace all desk phones with virtual phones (this is an example I’ve lived — twice), you need to build a Trojan Horse adoption strategy to maneuver customers over to the new technology.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - The keys to leading through change - My dad was a fierce planner. He used to coordinate hunting and fishing trips throughout the US and Canada, sometimes wrangling up to 50 men on excursions. Though he loved to hunt and fish, I think planning and executing is what really fulfilled him. After each trip, though, he returned perplexed and frustrated. He counted the remaining slices of bread and the amount of butter, pasta, meat, and so forth (he’d tracked this information for years in his spiral-bound notebook). And after each trip, there was too much of something and not enough of another thing left. He adjusted his quantities and yet the same thing continued to happen. My dad was striving for perfection, but he never achieved the perfect trip.</image:title>

<image:title>Blog - Find mentors who will help you break your snow globe - And my fierce first boss? We’ve written to each other every year for 33 years. When I visited her in late 2019, she stood in front of me — holding my arms and looking into my eyes — as I told her how much she positively impacted my life. Tears fell down our cheeks and she said, “You’ll never know how much you mean to me.” It was at that moment that I realized mentorship is a two-way street: Taking in feedback, bettering yourself, and getting out of your snow globe positively impacts those around you too.</image:title>

<image:title>Blog - What Autism Taught Me, Part 1: The Truth About Over-Planning - Most children with autism struggle when their routine is disrupted. In planning our first trip to Disney, all I could think about were the challenges we would face with our younger son. While there was excitement about the trip, I put immense pressure on myself to make everything go smoothly.</image:title>
<image:caption>I immediately went into planning mode. I downloaded theme park maps, investigated our resort online, made lists of items to pack, wrote down groceries to buy when we arrived, mapped out restaurants close by, and the lists kept going. I laminated the theme park maps and had a corresponding spreadsheet noting which direction we would go on arrival to the park, highlights we wanted to see, places that had food our son liked, and so on. The travel to Florida was uneventful, as was checking into the resort. Success. The following day we headed to our first theme park. I was ready. I went over the laminated map with our son; he was aware of the plan.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What Autism Taught Me, Part 2: Facing Life's Challenges</image:title>
<image:caption>When our son was six months old, something about his mannerisms felt off. At his doctor's visit I was told I needed to wait until his second birthday to perform in-depth testing. I didn’t tell anyone about my concerns. For 18 months I held my breath. During those 18 months, I spent a lot of time trying to comfort myself. Maybe he was just slow in developing? Maybe I was just being overly cautious? There were a lot of maybes. Each time I tried to refocus and not worry, my mind, and feedback from those around me, brought me back to reality: Something was wrong with our son. In a holiday card I mentioned how much he loved stacking blocks. Each side of the block had a different picture and he would spend hours perfecting their order. As he stacked and restacked, he would make sweet sounds we called the “do-do-do” song. Shortly after the holidays I received a letter from one of my friends. Her beautiful handwriting lulled me as I read her words: She gently spelled out her son's story about being diagnosed with autism and offered that I might want to check into it for our son. My heart sank. I stuffed the letter away and carried on.</image:caption>

<image:title>Services - Change Adoption Advisor</image:title>
<image:caption>The pandemic has forever altered how we work. Operations have been retooled: While onboarding, resources, managing equipment, and delivering technology changes are still critical, the way we lead these initiatives has changed. We must evaluate our change adoption practices and elevate our emotional intelligence to support our at-home workforce and customers. Read more about out practices in my blog:</image:caption>

<image:title>Services - Change Leadership</image:title>
<image:caption>Mergers and acquisitions (M&As) force two entities together. When blending two brands, the focus is primarily on consolidation and optimization. To speed an M&A through the process and make it successful, you must consider cultural objectives designed to bring folks together and balance the new normal. The question “how does this impact me?” needs to be answered and managed for all stakeholders - from the very beginning. Read more about our practices in my blog:</image:caption>

<image:title>Services - Shadow IT & SaaS Management</image:title>
<image:caption>Moving from on-premise technology services to software as a service (SaaS) products can be mind-bending for customers. Often times we’re taking something familiar, like the telephone, and replacing it with virtual tools. These technology changes are also cultural changes and change adoption strategies need to be include both elements. Read more about managing SaaS in my blog:</image:caption>
